Windows 2008 64 Bit TS printers not redirecting

Hi,

I have 2 TS 2008 servers one 32bit the other is 64bit.
my client pc is HP 5730 thin client with following printer installed
* hp color laserjet 3600 PS and so do the both servers have same driver off the HP website.  Of course for 2008 64 bit i had to download the one with 64 bit driver.

Problem;

When my thinclient connects to win 32bit 2008 server, it redirects the hp just fine..  same GPO applied, same settings as far as RDP client configuration on the server/client side.

When i try to connect to my win 64bit 2008 server, it does not redirect at all... again same GPO same settings for TS/RDP/client configuration.   And it is not just this printer, none of the printers ever redirect.

There are no events in 2008 server saying somethign is rejected, or access denied or anything to go by.

Can some let me know how i can get this thing working.  Thanks

Is the printer driver name the same for X86 and x64?

I already tried that. the only thing i can think of is, i had a thinprint on this server and i wonder if somehow it is blocking regular redirects.

have you checked the reigstry on the local machine?

This site will give you instructions on what to check in the registry.

I'm having this same problem. No thin client local printers will redirect. I have tried both the HPU 5 and 6 drivers as well as the specific driver for the printer. I don't even have any even logs giving me an error.

Anyone have any ideas?
