Hello,
I have had the same error as well a few times before, as far as I found out its caused by HP Utilities. Do you have any HP utitlities runing in the background?? I installed a HP printer driver on my computer and that gave me the same message quite a few times as well.
Either the program wasn't getting permission from the firewall to connect to server to check updates and this is why you saw this error or it could have been a virus. My suggestion is to download MalwareBytes Anti-Malware and update it and do a scan then. Best to get rid of it.
Hope it helps
