We have Sharepoint linked calenders in Outlook; recently we get the dreaded "enter your user name and password" popup three times for each linked calender, filling in the password and ticking the box does not work, it is gradually affecting all users
In all other respects Sharepoint is working fine as is Outlook
we suspect it is something to do with AD and Sharepoint authentication but are now stuck. We get no errors in Event log on neither the server or the workstation

thanks for your comment Steve , however IE settings have not changed for the users the Sharepoint server is in the local Intranet zone (by Group policy) this started last week as far as we can see after we were working on another calender, but we cannot find anything that could have affected the existing calenders.

I really can't think of anything else other than to ensure that the cache and cookie have been cleaned out.
We have now found the problem. We don't use the default website on the sharepoint but instead have that stopped and our sharepoint website running on port 80. The problem with outlook was caused when we installed a 3rd party solution into sharepoint and its' setup routine had started the default website, stopping it again solved the problem straight away.

Have you made sure that the Sharepoint server is set in IE's options as a Trusted Site?
