I have tried a few fixes in which I googled.

I have tried the following:
Have these directories configured correctly:
ClientWebService
Selfupdate
SimpleAuthWebServices
under directory properties asp.net tab select version 2 or above.
under directory properties Directory Security unselect anonymous and select integrated windows authentication.

And I have ran wsusutil reset. I am still getting the error on client machines.

Does anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks

Hi,

neither site worked. I had tried those fixes when I googled the error code.

Urlscan is not present.
I tried a BITS download and I confirmed that the directories existed.

This is usually if you dont have your GPO configured correctly. The other reason for this would be if you dont have a selfupdate virtual directory installed under port 80(in IIS on WSUS server)

I looked through that link before.

So to get this right, choswoot (in the other thread) says that the directory structure of clientebservice and and selfupdate need to be exactly the same?
