Sort "Feature" of a Document Library

While I was out of the office (Swine Flu) someone tinkered with my Sharepoint Portal... something was enabled or added so now every document Library has a "Sort" feature right below the toolbar (see picture). Didn't before. I've dinked around with the view options; turned on/off features like publishing.  This seems simple.... but how do I turn this off? On lists I just used the summary view.... and bye bye.... but no luck on any document libraries... and I am trying to make up 3 weeks of work.
