Password Policy

Hi wevryone,
I am about to implement a password policy accross our  Microsoft 2003 network. Part of this policy is that passwords will expire after 3 months. ZDoes anyone know if the time stamp for this will strt fro when I apply the policy or will it back date to the last change a user made. I.E. if "Sally" chnaged her password a month ago will she have 2 months to change her password or will she have to changes as soon as I apply the new policy?
