I have a number of PCs, some stand alone at remote sites and some on a domain, where I need to change the currently logged in local PC user rights on the local PC from restricted to local administrator (NOT domain administrator) so the user has full control of their PC. (managers complaining about not being able to do things)
I also need a script to change it back to restricted from local administrator at a later time.
I would like to do so by running these scripts on the local PC drive. I can run scripts on each machine with a separate credential other than the currently logged in user. Also, because there are so many machines, it would need to see who is currently logged into that PC/domain and add that user to the local administrator group.
I can FTP the files to the PCs and then run an app to run the script file while the user is logged in.
Any wizards know how to get this done?
TIA
