how to do NATING on ISA 2006

Natting is only permissible inbound as part of publishing rules - outbound ISA ALWAYS uses the first ip address bound to its external nic - that cannot be changed.
In publishing, when you select the listening interfaces, you will see the Addresses tab - once there are more than on IP address assigned to the external nic, you can select the addresses tab and pick the individual Ip you want to use. the publishing rule asks the internal Ip address you want to move the traffic to (exchange, web, sharepoint etc).

There is no difference. In ISA terms, port forwarding is the process of using one address and then using numerous ports and forwarding them sepeartely. NATting is for when you have multiple addresses and so you will have more than one instance of a port. For example, you may have two web servers with different domains both on port 80. in normal forwarding you would have one listen on port 80 and the second on maybe port 81 - you would then forward the ports internal to port 80 on each server (ISA does link and port translatioon also - maybe this is what you are meaning by forwarding?). With multiple Ip addresses you can listen for TWO port 80's - one on each address

for are online ticketing system i need to port forward ext IP 23.23.23 port 4545 to internal address 192.168.0.1 port 4545 but that is the only port i want to open
