Connecting to the internet on a lan with vista, internet apears disabled

I have a client who has connected a laptop to their local network using a cable (not wireless) and it will not connect to the internet. it sees the local pc's but has a red cross over internet. I cannot find how to enable the internet in vista. in network sharing it gives the connection as local only, i need to make it local and internet.Start Free Trial
