trojan horse via PS2 emulator

My antivirus software has picked up a Trojan horse Backdoor.VB.9.BQ from Sharazea - a ps2 emulator download. Does anyone know anything about this and how to get rid of it?

Doesn't your AntiVirus software give options to clean/heal or delete the file.

And do you know is the virus 'dorment', as in, have you run the PS2 emulator yet?

If the trojan is active in your system you could try the evaluation of
http://www.simplysup.com/tremover/download.html
which is a trojan remover.

If it isn't active, just delete it.

your best bet is simply to use an antivirus program and wipe or quarantine the file.  Working PS2 and Xbox emulators are a hoax, are nonexistent, and are a disguise for viruses of all sorts, so be more careful next time.  If you don't have an antivirus program (god forbid) you can download Antivir for free from:

*corrects self* I mean an antivirus program that can wipe the virus, If you don't have that than try Antivir.

Firstly, I thank all of you for taking the time to answer my question.  However, I am sorry to say they haven't helped me.  I have the AVG Antivirus programme installed and it has picked up this trojan but it won't remove, heal or do anything about it.  I have been to practically every antivirus site on the internet and have used all the free on-line scanners on these sites and none of them pick up this trojan.  They all say my computer is virus-free.  I have researched all the archives and libraries on viruses and trojans and none of them have this particular trojan listed.  Hence none of them have removal tools or instructions either.  After doing all this, I deleted the program that the trojan is supposedly coming from and the AVG Antivirus program still keeps telling me that I have this trojan.  This is when I came to EE and posted my question.  I haven't noticed any problems with my computer - no slowing down, no error messages etc so I am completely bamboozled by the whole thing.  I don't know if I even have a trojan anymore or if there is just something wrong with the antivirus program I have installed on my computer.  I am thinking of uninstalling the antivirus program and starting again.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hello,
I recently downloaded this same trojan and I am also running avg.  After the virus was found I ran avg and it did not remove it, so i just deleted the file and ran avg again and same thing.  It found the file but didnt remove it.  So then I turned off system restore and all the previous restore points get deleted.  Ran avg again and no virus detected.
