The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Entourage 2004 and Exchange 2003

Tags: entourage, exchange, 2003, connection, 2004
Hello,

I recently attempted to connect entourage 2004 to our exchange server with mixed results. I don't know what happened durring the set up wizard (to configure with exchange), but it didn't work. After the wizard my name showed up in the side panel, but no inbox, etc. then, in the "edit account settings" dialog, I noticed that under the exchange server input box that it said I could use the OWA address for the exchange server. I tried this and it worked. Well, this is not the optimal solution in our organization because as this is on a laptop, when it travels outside our private network, it will not be able to access the exchange server because the OWA address for external use does not work inside the private network (I have been meaning to post an EE question on this for a while now...). So, it worked, it synced, everything was fine until I switched it back to the actual server address, exchange01.XXXXXX.com. Then, when I tried to sych the mailbox, it gave me the error: "The action could not be completed. HTTP error. Access to the resources is forbidden.". Now, I have gained the knowledge that entourage does not use the same protocall that outlook does, so does this mean I have to do somthing on the server side? Or a setting in entourage?

Thanks in advance for any help I can get,
-Max
