Apple Time Capsule Configuration

I need guidance on best configuration for the following:  My colleague and I share home office.  (3 story house, his office is on top floor where modem, etc. is.  I live in basement apartment and work from there).   We have a wireless network setup with an external hard-drive connected to modem for backup of our business files.

I have a Time Capsule downstairs with me,  which I would like to use for my personal back-ups and don't want him to have access to.  I  have a mac and a PC.  What is the suggested set-up?  Do I set up my Time Capsule to create a different network, or do I extend our office network.  I apologize, but I am very ignorant when it comes to this type of stuff :)

Thanks Nappy but still confused on setup, is it best to create a separate network or extend home wireless network if I'll need access to both shared backup drive and my own time capsule?   If you can help with that the points are yours!   Oh and I do have lion
