The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution.   • The Feedback of the Community

Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. Could not start the Apache Tomcat 4.1 service on Local Computer

I installed Apache Tomcat 4.1 on Windows 2003 STD Server. For some reasons i am unable to start the tomcat.exe service. Every time i start the service i get an error message:

Could not start the Apache Tomcat 4.1 service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.

I noticed that i am not able to telnet to port 8080 .Would this be causing the problem ?I am new to this and have no idea what and where to start troubleshooting.
