i need to install the tomcat in the redhat enterprise linux ver5 for this i read the following document :
Before installing the tomcat5 package, you must first install one of the Java SDK packages from the Extras channel. You must install the SDK packages in addition to the JRE packages or Tomcat will not work properly.
in my server i did the following :
[root@parrot ~]# yum list tomcat*

As per the document before installing the tomcat first Java SDK packages should be installed in addtion to the JRE packages , but which are the Java SDK packages and JRE packages iam not able to get these two types ( Java SDK and JRE ) packages from the yum , please help me how to get these Java SDK and JRE packages and from where to get and how to install.
