Ok, I know it's not supported any more, but I need to get the deployment service running on Windows 2003 server for at least a few months until we have time to build a new deployment service. I also need the search components installed (because our existing code instantiates them), but I don't actually need the service working as I'm replacing it with SPS search...
However, I can't get setup to work at all. I tried the ss3w2k.exe patch, but that didn't get me past the system requirements screen.
Any idea what the registry keys are that the patch for Win2k sets? I was thinking I could add/modify the keys on the 2003 box manually. Any other advice for installing Site Server on Windows Server 2003?
