The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Starting JBoss A.S., with multiple instances, as windows services.

Tags: jboss, multiple, instances, service, windows
Hi all,
I have Sun jdk1.5.0_09 and jboss-4.0.5.GA installed on windows 2003 server.
I created multiple instances of JBoss (I read the official documentation from JBoss, so I have "all", "default", "minimal", "all2", "all3"). I start/launch them with H:\jboss-4.0.5.GA\bin\run.bat -c XXX" where XXX is all2 or all3.. : they're starting and running well/ok, no problem I can deploy and see applications running ok. Now I'm trying to have all this instances runing as windows services: the problem is here. I tried JavaService, no problem for installing these services and no errors. When I reboot the machine, one of these instances is up and runinng but the others are not up and not running. I took a look in Windows Event viewer, and this is the error: "The JBoss-4.0.5.GA all2 service terminated unexpectedly.  It has done this 1 time(s)." If I try to start that instance from the Services Windows Applet, I get this: "Could not start the JBoss-4.0.5.GA all2 service on Local Computer. Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.". If I try to start the same service from command line with     net start "JBoss-4.0.5.GA all2"    I get the same error with a similar message. All these operations were done with administrative privileges. Sorry for my bad english.. I'm trying to learn as much as possible.. Please let me know if you have got any ideas, it would be appreciated.. Thanks!

Greets,
Anna
