vbr-nrt stands for "Variable Bit Rate - Non-Real Time". Basically (very !) it is the CoS and is used for LAN-type data traffic. Other options include vbr-rt (real time), cbr (constant bit rate), UBR (unspecified) and ABR (Available).
oam-pvc manage is a setting when there is management of the ATM PVC by a carrier (for instance). OAM stands for Operations And Maintanance (or management) and basically what happens is that special cells are used to check the integrity of the ATM PVC.
Now for maths !!!!!!!
ATM "speeds" use Cells per second as opposed to bits per second.............
So 128Kb/s needs to be converted to cps..........so 128000 / 384 will give the cps value for the PVC using the payload (depends how the provider have designed their network - some allow for the whole cell so use the divisor 424).
Hope this helps
