sounds odd, but if u are using DSL are u sure u have a DSL router and not a ethernet router ?. and your plugging the copper DSL into the ethernet port ?
if its just a router , and your are trying to route your ethernet DSL for example then, u have to turn off the ethernet DSL router for about 30 secs it then assums u may have changed your pc or net cardm, and removes the stored mac address bind to the pc and modem, and when you plug the modem into the router it will bind it to that instead. this will then enable the router to be able to access the net

Its possible that the modem is configured to accept only one MAC address. Try cloning the MAC address of the network adapter of the computer that was originally online through the modem. The Linksys user guide has a section on MAC Cloning.
