westell 2200 modem/router

hey everyone.i'am new to this dsl.just got dsl through verizon.have westell 2200 modem model #A90-220015-04.says on bottom of modem dsl router.tried to connect useing linksys EZHUB04 hub it connects but can't get on internet.tried setting to bridge/routed bridge/change to passthrough same thing.can this model be use as a router.what am i doing wrong

Here is a pretty decent link to the proper setup of your router..

But basically the answer is yes to your question..  Once the router is setup, you will be able to plug your Hub into it to share the connection, and network your internal LAN...

Also, you are probably using PPPoE for your authentication protocols, so make sure you set that up in your Westell....   this will allow it to be an Always On situation..

Hmm..  One more thing I forgot to mention...  You might want to think about changing the password on that Westell...   Every admin or decent computer user knows the defaults for these...  Best to not keep it as is..   Just a thought..!!

I need help with a wireless connection problem,  I'm having a difficult time trying to connect a Dell Laptop 1450 w/ a built in wireless card to a Dell desktop Inspiron 1150, using a Linksys router WRT 546 through westell 2200 dsl modem. It seems to connect but when I open IE there's no page available. Help..

Manny-  I have the same problem. I first tried it with a D-link router, then Netgear and finally Linksys. They all had the same result.. I can connect to most webpages, but some just don't load. One of them is getting mail from yahoo. I can get to the page, but when I try to log in, it just never goes to my inbox. That happens with a number of sites. It is really strange. , Oh yeah, I am also using a Westell 2200 dsl modem.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Dell Inspiron 1100 laptop, Netgear Wireless PC Card 32-bit CardBus MA521 802.11b card, Netgear Router MR814 v2 and Verizon DSL Westell 2200 modem.  The problem is I am unable to connect to the Internet without cables.  When I plug in all the cables (RJ45 from modem to Router main port; RJ45 from PC to port 1), I can access the Internet, get to 192.168.0.1, but when I remove all the cables the the Internet light goes out on the Router and I am unable to access the Internet.  Can anyone help?
