How to connect to D-Link router wirelessly

I have a D-Link DI-614+ wireless router and a D-Link DI-524 wireless router that I would like to connect together.  The DI-614+ is connected to a broadband connection in the bedroom and I would like to connect it wirelessly to the DI-524 in the living room.  Is it possible to do this with these two routers?  If yes, how?

I tried the instructions on the D-Link website on how to turn the DI-524 into an AP.  Once I completed the instructions I was unable to connect to the Internet and load a webpage.  The LAN IP of the DI-614+ is 192.168.0.1 and the LAN IP of the DI-525 is 192.168.0.2.  I hope this helps.  Thank you.

heres somethings to check/configure,
im assuming you know how to get into the configurations pages because you said you've read the instructions and tried to do some things already.... but heres from the very beginning...
verify if the 614 works when you plug a pc in, im sure it does... then plug in the 524 and change its IP to an address outside the range of the 614's dhcp... since you changed it into an AP it should be correct,
on a wireless pc, goto the command prompt, try releasing and renewing the IP (ipconfig /release, then ipconfig /renew)
see if it picks up ip address's,
let us know what the address's are that it picks up if any.

The instructions are correct regarding making the secondary router i.e. DI-525 as Access Point. However you need to ensure that the Ethernet Cable from the main Router i.e. DI-614+ should go to any of the LAN Slots rather than the WAN slot.

Sometimes, you may require a cross-over cable to do this.
