  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. More explanation on connecting a WRT54G and a Westell Versalink 327w

I want to use my Linksys WRT54G v2.2 as my primary router/wireless access point but cannot get it to grab an IP address from my Westell Versalink.  I read the question directly relating to both of these modems but it didn't explain exactly how to disable NAT mode on the 327w.  I can enable bridge mode and disable PPPoE to let the WRT54G handle it but then I can't surf wirelessly at all.  I completely understand the concept of what it wants me to do, I just don't know exactly what settings to change on each modem/router.  With my current setup, my Wi-Fi Palm Pilot seems to be able to surf the web but the WRT54G won't give my laptop an IP address.
