Browse All TopicsHello,
I used to have a USRobotics router (USR8000 I guess), wich has the hability to swap on a dialup internet connection (via external modem on a serial port) when the ADSL goes down, and the disconnect when the ADSL is available again.
This is what I need now, but I couldn't find any manufacturer that produce that kind of product now. They seems to be in a pricing competition race, so that kind of feature that "some" people may use disapeared.
Could you will tell me if you know a manufacturer that offer a such product and that is available for purchase on the web ?
Thanks a lot in advance.

Zytel / Lucent / are isdn modems i used in the past. . however, usually the ISP will supply it.
Its an old technology, no point in investing in the modem if you can rent it.

I would just get a router that supports multi WAN and use seperate DSL, and ISDN modems.
taht way if you change one techonology, your not starting all over, just a new modem, and your off and running.
