Comtrend use 2 types of default passwords.
if the above suggestion fails try user admin and password 1234

Assuming you only have the modem and no router in between your PC and that modem, you should be able to get to the modem:
http://192.168.1.1
Try that and see if it prompts for a login and/or password. If it does, use "admin" as the login with a blank password or, if a modem login is required and fails with only the "admin" login name, use "admin" for both login and password. Also, again assuming the login is required, if a blank password does work, once you get in you might actually want to assign a password.
