Dell Laptop when dock does not receive wireless or lan connection..

So here is the problem, when my laptop is not dock it can receive wireless and get online. But when I dock it back at the station it does not work anymore. I cannot receive wireless or get online via lan.. Anyone know what this is?

The wireless card is independent of (or at least should be independent of) the dock. Depending on the dock, the wired NIC may pass through. Since all works without the dock, I would try a different dock. It looks to be defective in some way (so as to cause a problem with the wireless card which I assume is a PCI card). ... There is a setting we have used on our Dell's to disable the wireless when Docked. It only works if you use the Dell Wireless LAN utility (not the Windows one). It's possible this is set...Your question isn't quite clear- can you also not get Wired LAN via cable once it is in the Dock? If so, before replacing the dock try rebooting it! Remove the power from the Dock, wiat a few seconds and replace power. There is a lot of electronics in the Dock and it may just need a restart.
