I was thinking Cisco router direct to PC - always crossover.
I chose this answer based on javeed "ccna" login.
The old Cisco 1600 routers came with a crossover in the box just for this purpose.
Of course, any Linksys/soho router LAN port to PC - always straight, because it is typically a switch port
I guess javeed will have to specify...
