The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? Debugging Cisco input errors

Have a p2p t with two cisco 1720's terminating.  One side is giving me input and abort errors when I do a show int (attached)  the other side is not showing any errors.  

My switch is showing excessive collisions from the cable attached to the Fa0 from the 1720.

My question is, how do I debug this.  I have syslog logging but there is nothing good being logged and yet I am dropping packets and the routers continue to increase in error numbers when I do a show int.
