Question

DS3 configuration

Asked by: dtadmin

I have installed a ds3 card into my 3845, but cannot get the router to recognize the card. It will not accept the "card type t3 1" command either. I am running IOS version "c3845-spservicesk9-mz.124-23.bin".

Try reseating the module.  Power off the 3845.  Take out the module and re-insert it.  Power the router back on and see if it recognizes it now.

by: JFrederick29Posted on 2009-02-06 at 12:31:53ID: 23573926

Nevermind.  Didn't realize this was an ATM DS3 module.  You need to be running 12.4(15)T for the 3845 to support this card.

by: dtadminPosted on 2009-02-06 at 12:32:43ID: 23573938

no go....

It doesn't even recognize the command. If I do a "show ?" I don't even have a "card" command listed???

by: JFrederick29Posted on 2009-02-06 at 12:33:59ID: 23573949

You'll need to upgrade to 12.4(15)T (SP Services).

by: JFrederick29Posted on 2009-02-06 at 12:34:38ID: 23573959

The "T" being the key here in case you are wondering how 12.4(15) is an upgrade from 12.4(23).
