I have a Direcway 7700 system. Recently our connection started acting up. I did the usual troubleshooting and couldn't isolate it to anything on our small network.
Our status continuously changes from Ok (green), to degraded (yellow), then unavailable (red tx code 10). Repeat 20 times starting at noon. I find it odd that our problems have a time schedule but when its green we get less than DW 6000 perfermance (900/66 Kbps). We thought it was the weather but as the weather improved our performance decreased (600/ -22 Kbps ??? - from pcpitsop 2 kbps from visualware)
and the frequency of green to yellow to red increased.
When we get a good connection I can get a 2-300 KB transfer rate (downloading linux distros to test our connection running a different OS), however speed tests say otherwise.
Our DW6000 neighbor has a better connection than us so I think it isn't sun spots, heavy smog by our NOC, or line of sight issues. If anyone has this problem please let us know any solutions as customer support is taking a long time. Also, we get a lot of "service not available" and "Sat outage 504 and 506" messages.
