Networking problem

Asked by buttaman in Optical Networking, Network Operations, Network Routers

I have a Windows 2003 Server that is a DNS server and running DHCP.
I can not access the domain when I go to My Network Places and browse to my domain. The message is that the domain is not accessable and I might not have permissions.
If I enter the server name in the address bar (\\server) I can get to the server and folders.
I have checked all permissions and everything looks good.
What is happening:

Also I do get an error at boot up time that one service did not start.
In the error lig the entry is that a command could not run. The entry is
\\dserver\netlogon\logon.bat
dserver is the name of the original server which is no longer in use.
The new server name is server1
Could this be causing the problem?
Where will I find this statement , so that I can change the server name?
