We have a cisco 6509 switch in our NOC and we just had a temp building placed outside our NOC. We had fiber run between the 2 and I have a linksys 1000 SX mini-gbic MGBSX1plugged into the 6509 via an SC to LC multimode cable and a 1000 base-SX gbic in the 4006. The 6509 interface says (interface down line protocol down) (Faulty).
