We have a wireless T1 connection from a local provider. We have that ran into our building and from there we are trying to share it with our practice and another practice that leases space from us on the second floor of our building. We both have different network schemes. We have a Netgear FVS318 and the other practice has a Sonicwall SOHO2 router/firewall. We are running the T1 line straight into the WAN port on our Netgear FVS318 and then have port 1 ran out to our network. We are trying to run from port two on the Netgear into the Sonicwall WAN port and from the only LAN port on the sonic wall to the network on the second floor. Every time that we attempt to do this the Netgear router locks up completely and will not do anything until we reset the router after diconnecting the Sonicwall cable. We have programmed all the settings into the Netgear that we believe are correct. Even after a call to Netgear customer support they are saying that everything that we are doing seems to be correct and that it should be working properly. Our internet connection works great it's just we we try to hook up the Sonicwall so the other practice can share the connection we get our problem. Can anyone please help with this problem. Thanks.
