on partition C: windows xp is installed and was working properly but when i install on drive D: Windows 7 , the xp cannot boot how can i fix it ???????

Did you uninstall W7 or did it just mess up the XP boot?
If W7 is still installed, try:
bcdedit (Vista/W7 boot.ini replacement)

Or EasyBCD

If uninstalled, boot the XP CD and choose Command Console, then type in
FIXMBR <enter>
