Hey experts,
This is the 1st time I use joomla, and I am trying to know as much as I can about it to do changes on an existing site that uses joomla. I found that the following template is used: rt_vortex from
http://www.rockettheme.com ; the site is a news website:
www.youkal.net (it's in arabic, but I guess you can understand me when I talk about things even if you don't know arabic)
I am having several issues doing changes to the existing modules; for example:
1- I can't find the main module (the one in which the inner news is put)
2- The category is displayed in every news item in this inner module; I need to remove it
3- I need to remove the displayed email/print/pdf icons from each news item (I want to only put them when the news item is opened in a new page)
I tried to do the above from the joomla administrator, but I feel that I don't have full control over many things.
Please tell me what you think (I would need at least guidance on how to tackle changes on a site that is done using joomla)
