The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. As you do, the rating will be adjusted and will become more accurate for other members of our site.

If you have any suggestions that you would like to make for our rating system, please ask a question in the Suggestions Zone of Community Support.

Thank you!

Jommla Menu Issue

Hey experts/gxp071,

This is about another issue I need to fix for http://www.youkal.net (check http://www.experts-exchange.com/Software/Server_Software/Content_Management/Q_23123720.html for issues I had & fixed).

I still have three issues regarding this site:
1- I still couldn't add a sub-menu to a menu item; I went to the menu manager; opened a menu to see its menu list, and then got stuck there; in my case here,I have a menu item that is of type category and I want the first 3 or 4 content items in it to appear in the menu list (for only this menu item)
2- In the blog-style inner module in the homepage; if you notice, there is a "More" link (in Arabic text) that is appearing after each blog item; I want it to appear only when there is text in black; i.e. when there's only a blue link text (nothing additional) I don't want to appear and when there's additional text (in black) I would want it to appear; any idea on how to do that?
3- Using the existing poll component, is it possible to put only one poll on the homepage; with a more link in the poll window and when the more link is clicked the other published polls would appear in a new page (right now all published polls appear in the poll window in the homepage); note that I tried to create a menu item of type Poll Component, but when clicked it showed me only the poll results in a new page; this would have been a fair solution if the polls themselves (and not their results only) appeared in the new page.Start Free Trial
