cannot start smtp server after disasterrecovery

Here's the scenerio. I'm moving our main exchange off of a cluster (2 node) to a stand alone. Without going into the details (until I need to), everything went fine. I used the disasterrecovery switch for the Exchange install. I've gone into exchange system manager to mount the stores but cannot. When I look at the default virtual server, I noticed it was not running. When I try to start it, I get the message "you have to strart this from the cluster administrator" problem is, I'm no longer on a cluster. Help!!!(and thanks).

Sorry it took so long. actually forgot this question was open. I'm going to give the points to Marc due to the fact that initially he was right.
It just turned out to be the worst weekend of my life. I did finally, late sunday, get the server up and running...
Thanks
