AutoReply from a distribution list

well im running Exchange 2003 and i have a distribution list, i want a send an autoreply but, i dont want to make an alternative store to send from there,
plzz

Since distribution lists are not "users" or "mailboxes", I don't believe that this is possible.  You could, however, create a mailbox for that distribution list and give the mailbox and auto-reply.  You could also create a new public folder, assign it as part of the distribution list, and then create an auto-reply for the public folder.

Neither are pretty, but they'll work.

By the way... to create an auto-reply for the public folder, you would open the 'properties' for the public folder, select the 'administration' tab, and then create a rule by clicking the 'Folder Assistant' button.  The rule would be similar to an Outlook rule.

the last one seems factible
ill try,
i dont want to use outlook options
well i cant add it,
and i dont have the administration tab..
i made the p. folder at exchange system manager
i have now the ability to add it :)

im stuck at saving the rule it says that "Changes to the rule could not be saved."
i did all, but dont receive the reply ,
