How to do web hosting ourselve?

Hello all,
I am new here and is most happy to know abt this site.

Like to check with you all experts out there, I like to host the company website in our company ourselve and this is a simple website which is not more than 10mb. As we had a lease line of 128kb already so my company think of hosting it ourselves which will be much cheaper in the long term. And I was assign this task which I had no experience with, hence I hope to get some help here.

Any idea on where or which URL out there teach people the steps on how to do webhosting ourselves? Eg. what's the procedure? What to purchase? What to take note? and most importantly, how to do it???
