I doubt by any chance you installed the IE5 accessories pack? It comes with a Images/No Images program. Very useful!

web images come up with red x in box no pictures
when i try to view web page all the image boxes have a red x in them and no pictureany idea where to look to rectify this

Make sure scripting, ActiveX controls, cookies, and Java applets are enabled in Internet Explorer. To do so, follow these steps:
