Hi ET0000,
The application will be worked by 50 persons. There is no limit of the people working at the same time (it's accessing an Access Database).

Browse All TopicsHi everybody.
I've already read some posts within the same subject as this question but none conclusive.
The question is simple: display a vb6 exe application (located in the server) in a browser without the need to install eventually necessary dll on the client side. This web page would only be accessed in local LAN.
The exe application is installed and running on the server called "REMOTE" and I need the clients to access it from their pc's. Tried CITRIX-first problem:don't know how to install it (server and client side) second problem: licensing.
Can TSweb do the trick? How? Other solution?
Thanks in advance
nasps

With 50 users, you are getting into the area where Citrix can be an advantage (for a handful of users, simple MSTSC can sometimes be sufficient). However, to get the benefits of Citrix, you will be paying their licensing fees. You may want to get a quick quote from your local reseller to see if the cost fits your budget.
There is a lot of information on the Citrix site for installing the software; check out their Knowledge Center:
http://support.citrix.com/
You install Citrix on a server, which makes it able to accept connections from clients. The workstations can then connect using a web browser (which self-installs the necessary client), or using client software. For your needs, the web browser client is probably appropriate.
There are a multitude of ways to install the server side (covering all sorts of situations like load balancing, etc.), but once you've selected an approach, the server installation isn't that hard. Once you've got the server side set up, a user points their web browser there, responds to some prompts, and can then login and use your app.
