max concurrent connections on shared web hosting
I'm trying to make sense out of what exactly concurrent connections are and how I can tell if I need more with my godaddy shared web hosting (Windows).
My understanding is that during times of heavy traffic on my website, if the number of CCs is exceeded, users will get a server unavailable message. However, godaddy doesn't seem to offer any way (for shared plans) of monitoring if this has ever been an issue. So, aside from periodically hitting my own site to check responsiveness, how can I know if actually need more CCs? How many is enough?
I'm currently on the economy shared plan which allows 50 CCs. They also offer shared plans with 100 and 150 CCs.
Also, anyone out there using other hosting providers that do provide these stats?

A little more usage info for reference. The site in questions averages around 4,000 page requests per month with peaks around 8,000 during busy periods.
