The domain you register woul de for example: unrinoceronte.com

A sub domain is a configuration on your web server. Example: subdomain.unrinoceronte.com

You would set up a sub domain on your domain if you wanted one.

A parked domain is a registered domain that is just in a 'holding' area and pointing to something other than your web site.

Add-on domain would be a domain that is usualy added to your account or DNS record to point to the same Web site.

Sorry @Share-IT ... you posted whilst I was typing ;)
the www is just a hostname so in it's simplest form www.abc.com would be the server called "www" at the domain "abc.com"
for you to have the domain name www.unrinoceronte.com you need to register unrinoceronte.com and add www as a hostname (or A record) in your DNS.
@gmaddockgreene - sorry back! ;)
