Web Hosting Dedictated / VPNS Providers

Hi there,

  I'd like to ask advice in relation to Dedicated / VPNS. I'm a student, on a budget. My first experience with an Irish based web hosting company was not good. I'm currently using a shared hosting server provider, cost me ¬40 per year, which is full of restrictions plus the support only work 9am - 6pm. If I was to pick a company that provides Virtual Servers or a dedicated server for me to work with & learn also. Keeping the student budget in mind, and if virtual is ok for ASP.NET applications / databases etc, can someone provide a good list of potential business providers for such a solution ?...please advise,
