Hello There !
I am establishing a DNS Server Setup, in linux 6.2, now i have configured named.conf as per my convience and also yourdomain.com.db file and youlan.db file. when i test these 2 files for synatx check, i get a error named like " Parse Error near $TTL ". I am very well writing the synatx as per provided in RED HAT linux bible, i really don't know what logic should i implement in order to resolve this issue.
Please do help me in this situation.

If you can get your hands on O'Reilly's DNS tome, do so - it's about the most definitive work you will find outside the RFCs (and O'Reilly is a much better read than most RFCs).
Do you have a default $TTL line at the top of your zone files? Can you paste your zone files here (and named.conf) for inspection (feel free to change the names/IPs to protect the innocent)

goto www.webmin.com download webmin and install it.
now goto http://yourlinuxbox:10000 from another PC or http://localhost:10000 in X-Window and login with you root l/p in the "servers" button you will see a DNS, edit it from there, it's the most eayest way to setup a DNS server.
first edit your /etc/named.boot file and add your primary server and seconday server entry
like this
directory /etc/namedfiles
cache root.cache
primary 0.0.127.in-addr.arpa db.127.0.0.0
primary your domain name and file name
then create file.
in /etc/namedfiles directory
1) /etc/namedfiles/db.127.0.0
0.0.127.in-addr.arpa IN SOA domain.name
and other PTR records.
2) /etc/namedfiles/db.domainn
3) /etc/namedfiles/db.202.202
202.202.202.in-addr-arpa IN SOA domain name
then start dns server
#named -c /etc/named.boot
and check it.
