Installing RedHat 8.0 in graphical mode

I'm attempting to install RedHat 8.0 in graphical mode.  When ever I choose the option for graphical mode, the screen goes black. It starts to run the Anaconda and it finds my video card(ATI M64) and the moniter (IBM 641).  I have a 6 gig hard drive and about 96 megs of Ram.  This is nothing serious I'm just using this for school purposes. And I'm also trying to install the server.  If you can please help me I would appreciate it.

use a RH 9 (more drivers, debugged)
or use the text-mode installation

You should be able to select VGA mode if you want graphical mode for installation.

Possible that the installer package is attempting to run the graphics card at a resolution that the card or screen can't handle.

Try a different monitor, or use text based - it's almost identical, just doesn't look as good.

The hard drive and RAM are more than enough.

RHL8 probably does not contain the correct driver for your VGA card. choose a generic VGA then install the driver for your VGA card manually after installation.
