IPCOP

Just installed IPCop version 3 on Fujitsu T-bird P3, it installed fine but when i try and boot the system i get the following error message , which varies slightly each time, but the crux of the message is the same.

CPU 0 : MACHINE CHECK EXCEPTION 0000000000000004

BANK 3 : b2 0000000002010a

KERNEL PANIC : CPU CONTEXT CORRUPT

IN INTERUPT HANDLER - NOT SYNCING

Well , the ipcop is not in relationship with this errors I think .

looks almost like a hardware failure...

The machine check exception is used by modern x86 cpus to tell the kernel about an internal (hardware) failure. Not sure what this one means, but it could be caused by a corrupt memory chip.
