Remote Desktop Connection in Linux

Ok, I'm very new with Linux so please be tolerant my somehow ignorant questions.

I recently installed WHAX 3.0 (A distro based on SLAX) on a computer after the request of my boss for a security-based project. I installed it on harddisk (means I don't use the Live CD anymore).

My problem is that my boss asked me to establish a "Remote Desktop Connection" between this computer and his computer (which runs Windows XP Pro). He would like to reach to this WHAX computer through his computer. I don't have any clue how to do it.

The WHAX 3.0 computer has an static IP. Can anyone help me to setup such a connection. I know it is easy in Windows environment, but my inexperience in Linux-based systems cause me much difficulty in this task.
