step 1. run cfgmaker to create mrtg config file
i use the following ( please note you don't have to choose my exact options)
/usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/cfgm
the IPADDRESS(s) option is one or more ip addresses separated by space for which you want to monitor.
then you have to run indexmaker like this
/usr/local/mrtg-2/bin/inde
to create the web page where you will view your graphs, ofcourse you should put the correct path to the mrtg.cfg file
my advice is read man pages for indexmaker and cfgmaker...

i am confused, it sound like you are already generating graphs for interfaces on this switch?
Have you re ran cfgmaker on thsi device ?
