Question

Hylafax expecting password on PostFix server

I got this bounce back message when I send an email to PostFix where is the HylaFax server for Email to Fax purpose.

Looks like, it is expecting password but I have configured it under /var/spool/hylafax/etc/hosts.hfaxd file.

Also, it does not able to find the font.

Please help.

After adding the following command to my "hosts.hfaxd", I can solve the problem listed above but I found that the HylaFax dial the wrong number, it try to dial out number not the one I put it into the To: field on Outlook.

localhost:21::

On modem, I can hear the tone and message from phone company to ask me for checking the number.

do you have to dial any extra digits to get a line ie a 9 or any pauses
Or did you resolve your message wasn't exactly clear.

I tried to put a "9" in front of my fax number but it does not work.

On HylaFAX configuration paper, it mentioned that I can put ATDT9,W%s string on config.ttyS14 file but I do not have this file?

Have you checked your ghostscript setup.  Permissions? ... can you manually find those files?

I found that the scheduler of Hylafax stop, I don't know why but after restart the hylafax, it works again but still dialing the wrong number.
