During the last week, I loose connectivity with AT&T Broadband. Sometimes it comes back on its own and sometimes I have to cycle power on my cable modem.
AT&T says they see the cable modem attempting to connect and suspect a bad modem. I replaced my leased modem with my own to save $10/Mo but then they changed the deal to a savings of $3/Mo, hardly worth it.
I suspect the CM but it could be the line/signal. When the CM loses connectivity, it returns an IP of 192.168.100.2.
Any ideas or diagnostic techniques (other than ping and ipconfig)?
Thanks,
Gary
