The Solution Rating System

With so many solutions, how can you tell which solutions are most likely to help you and which ones are not? To provide you with a tool to use, we rate our solutions based on various elements that most accurately determine if a solution is a quality solution. To explain what factors affect the solution rating, here are the elements we take into consideration when formulating our solution rating.

  • The Grade of the Solution
  • The Zone Rank of the Expert Providing the Solution
  • The Number of Author and Expert Comments
  • The Number of Experts Contributing
  • The Feedback of the Community

Your Input Matters
Because of the way the system is set up, the most important variable in this equation is you. As a member of Experts Exchange, you are able to cast your vote on the quality of the solutions in regard to how complete, accurate, helpful and easy to understand each solution is. When you provide your feedback, each rating is adjusted accordingly. So, if you see a solution that has a poor rating that you think is a good solution, let us know by rating it. Cisco - and Internet

Ok guys, here it is.
I have a practice lab at home. I have a linksys router at 192.168.1.1 (rip enabled on the linksys) then i have 1 cisco 2514 (routera) and 1 cisco 2524 (routerb)(routera and routerb are connected serially (192.168.2.1 192.168.2.2)and I  a laptop behind both routerb, which is theoretically behind routera as well.the laptop is 192.168.3.5.
Rip has learned all the routes possible, to the internet and to the other stations in my network. 192.168.3.5 (laptop) can ping the linksys router 192.168.1.1, letting me know that rip is running ok.
I put the dns servers on the cisco routers (dns servers of my ISP) and the gateway of my ISP. So when i ping a website from my router, it comes back with a response. So if i ping www.yahoo.com from router b. It goes from router b, to router a, to the linksys, and out to yahoo.com, then back to router b. So it goes to the internet, but hte laptop behind router B is having a dns issue. I can ping the websites via ip, but i cannot ping via hostname or http to anyweb sites via hostname. This is clearly a dns issue,maybe,  but not sure if its a nat issue on router, dns issue on laptop, maybe i specified the wrong gateway, i tried all combos of gateways. The router is able to get out onto the internet..but the laptop behind is still having trouble. I know this long and im sorry, but its been bothering me for a little bit now, and i've heard so much about this site. Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for the help.
